just when I thought
I could never love again.
we spent most of the day together
it was easy, without effort.
we crawled out onto the roof
as the moon danced across the big lake
and I held your adorable round face and kissed you.
at that moment I felt saved from a loveless life.
and for that, I thank you.
I'm a lot of work. I know that.
I'm sorry.
I tried.
who where and when -
I sing and play the keyboard parts,
and programmed the original beats
out in the desert.
james hagstrom jr plays drums
glenda theuner plays the bones (a dying art).
my brother played small rocks on a big rock in
the peak district national park,
just as it started to sprinkle on us.
but we took shelter,
and ate our delicious pork and stuffing sandwiches
that we got in hathersage,
and then the rain stopped and we got a good take.
here's a pic -
vocal tracks were recorded
in a crop formation
that was called "the scarab",
which appeared in the east field

i kissed the moon face girl
up on the roof with the moon face girl
she and me and the whole wide world
and the moonlight on the water
I kissed the moon face girl
I kissed the moon face girl
she’s gonna change my world
I kissed the moon face girl
It’s perfect
bought a bottle of sweet red wine
I’m gonna take my sweet time
and get to know her
and get to know her
maybe she’ll love me
